This month we are going to talk about balance \u2013 work\/life balance, a balanced diet, etc. \u2013 but first, I want to dispel a HUGE MYTH.<\/p>\n

Here it is:<\/p>\n

When you take on something new \u2013 or ramp up to reach a big goal \u2013 sometimes you have to throw the idea of \u201cbalance\u201d out the window.<\/p>\n

This is something that\u00a0hit close to home in September! I started teaching an online school for kids in grades K-12. It’s 2 afternoons a week and it has been a huge learning curve. Not a bad one, just a new one. My body has had to adjust (I’m working out now an extra 2-1\/2 hours on Tuesday and Thursday), my life has had to adjust. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m finally getting things balanced back out-a whole new balance that is.<\/p>\n

\u00a0So at first you may need to let balance go, get what is most important done first, then start throwing back in the other.<\/p>\n

Not only is this OK, but it can be a necessity.<\/p>\n
