I\u2019ve got an awesome tip for you the next time you feel like you need to clear out some mental cobwebs and improve your focus\u2026<\/p>\n

Get up and MOVE for just 20 minutes!!<\/p>\n

Go for a walk, a bike ride, lift some weights\u2026 your choice!<\/p>\n

This helps in a few different ways.<\/p>\n

\"\ud83e\udde0\"First: physical activity boosts blood flow to your brain. This fires up your neurons and helps promote cell growth, especially in the hippocampus.<\/p>\n

Your hippocampus plays a role in your emotions, memories, and learning \u2013 but its biggest job is to hold your short-term memories and transfer them for long-term storage in your brain!<\/p>\n

Pretty cool, right?<\/p>\n

After you\u2019re done, you\u2019ll feel fresh, focused, and ready to tackle anything that needs your full attention.<\/p>\n

BUT\u2026 it gets even better.<\/p>\n

Regular exercise can change your brain to improve your memory, thinking skills, and focus. And\u00a0if you do it within 70 minutes of eating, you will help to manage your blood sugar.<\/p>\n

Studies show that exercise can even increase the size of your hippocampus!<\/p>\n

A third bonus benefit: immediately after you\u2019re done, you will get a mood boost thanks to all the endorphins (aka the \u201cfeel good\u201d chemicals) your brain will release.<\/p>\n

The workout doesn\u2019t have to be intense. The goal is to get your blood pumping and your body moving for at least 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

So, the next time you’re feeling mentally foggy or finding it hard to concentrate, remember this:<\/p>\n
