What are the best ways to help your body recover from exercise?

  • Sleep
  • Adequate nutrients from good fats/protein/carbs
  • Eating more fruits and vegetables and omega 3 foods
  • Active recovery sessions


Sleep is one of the best ways to give the body time to repair and when we give it good nutrients to do this with, it’s an even better combo! (Come back later for more information on quality nutrients)

What kind of foods have Omega 3’s? Walnuts, flaxseed, chia seeds, spinach and of course-salmon!

What is an active recovery session? This can be a walk, bike ride, stretching session or swim. Something that helps our body move but is not taxing. This is especially important the day after a strenuous workout.
